RIP Rapunzel

Got some sad news about our adopt-a-kitty yesterday. From what we gathered, she was down the street the other day, and our neighbor Jane's dog got out and attacked Rapunzel and ended up killing her. :( Amos (the dog) is really aggressive, and this is not the first time he has gone after another animal. Apparently Animal Control was called and they were going to come pick Amos up to take him to the pound, but Jane got word of this and ended up taking him to get put down before they came and got him because she knew what was going to happen. Sad story all around.

Amos was really mean and always scared the crap out of us when we were cutting the grass because he would come charging up to the fence and be barking his head off. Can't say I'm too upset about his outcome, but we were really starting to grow fond of Rapunzel. She was such a sweet kitty! Very curious and always getting into stuff. We'll miss her. Hopefully for her sake, it all happened fast and she wasn't in much pain. I know she's probably up kitty heaven chasing butterflies and goldfish now. Oh, and catching moles, one of the talents Lenny will miss the most! Rest in peace sweet Rapunzel.

Let's go Cards!

We went to the Cards game with Jason, Janine, and Kendall on Memorial day. All day long, Bella was talking about wanting to see Fredbird and how she wasn't going to be shy and instead was going to go up and give him a big hug. Boy was she ever disappointed - he only made an appearance once that whole day, and it was while she was in the bathroom of all times. UNHHH! The nerve! Oh well. This just means we'll have to go to another game later this summer. Both girls did great and were well behaved the whole time.

Waiting to meet J and J before the game. It was pretty hot so Bellz was chillin in the shade.

Check out K's cute Memorial Day threads.

Adopt-A-Cat

So our neighbors got a cat about a month ago, and somehow over the course of the past couple weeks, we've half adopted it. Bella keeps luring it in the house, and it always goes straight up to her room and jumps up into her bed to curl up and go to sleep. It's so dang cute! The cat is really sweet but she is a bit skiddish and doesn't like to be picked up, so whenever she comes in, we just kinda let her have the run of the house. We figure she's not doing any harm so we may as well just let her stay. The neighbors practically told us we could have her but I'm not sure we want to do that at this point. We'll see. For now we're fine with being part time cat owners. :)
