Today is my favorite nephew's birthday. Happy 11th bday Carty poo poo! Your Auntie Gretch loves you!!! Smooch smooch smooch. :)

We celebrated Carson's birthday over the weekend with a Mexican fiesta out at Dean and Stacey's. Stace is one heck of a cook. The meal was delicious!

I cannot believe he is going to be in middle school this year. He's getting so biiiiig! :(

First day back to work

I took this pic right after I picked Alex up from my parents' house on my first day back after maternity leave. They must have worn him out. :) He was all smiles when I dropped him off in the morn and all smiles when I picked him up that evening, so that made it a heck of a lot easier on me knowing he was happy all day. We're really blessed and so very thankful that our parents are willing to watch him for us. One of the 10 billion reasons we love them so... *SIGH*

Road trip

We just got back last night from a quick trip up to Wisconsin. I'm happy to report that we survived our first road trip with baby in tow. Woo hoo!  Alex did a lot better than I expected in the car. He had a major blowout on the way up there and I had to change him in the backseat of the car, but other than that there were no major mishaps. (Sidenote - we have discovered that Huggies contain poo MUCH better than the Pampers we had been using) We had so much fun riding the four wheelers, taking the paddle boat out, skiing, kneeboarding, tubing, and sitting around the campfire drinking sassy drinks with the fam. I'm really glad we decided to go up. That was my last hurrah before I go back to work Thursday. WHAAAAAA! :(
