Sissy's daycare is in session

Bella likes to play "daycare" with Alex these days and set up this arrangement in the yard all by herself while we were making dinner one night. Note the towels for him to sit on, plethora of toys for him to play with, and my personal favorite, the teachers chair she is sitting in. Too cute!

I went to Target to run some errands last night with Bubbalicious and happened to stumble upon a great new playground at the school right by there. It rocks! They have a little kid area and a big kid one and of course mr daredevil himself chose to play on the one meant for  the 5-12 age group. Umm...I am not kidding you-one of those slides was so steep it even made me nervous to go down it! The pic doesn't really do it justice. In case you were wondering,  we conquered it together. :)

Weekend in Wis

We went up to Wisconsin over the weekend for Rachel and George's wedding. Unfortunately, Alex wasn't wanting to sit still and be quiet during the ceremony (surprising for a 16 month old, right?) so Lenny had to take him away for the majority of the ceremony. He didn't realize he also had the camera in his pocket, so I didn't get many pics. :( I will have to steal some from my mom and dad and Dean/Stacey. Here are the few I got at the actual wedd. Congrats to Rachel and George! I wish you a lifetime of happiness together!

A certain SOMEONE had fun pulling nearly 100 sandwich baggies out of the drawer in the kitchen this morning. Another someone picked them all up. Guess which was which? :/ 

Crazy hair day

It's back to school  week at Alex's daycare, so they are doing spirit week!

Monday - hat day (he was at granny and grumpas, but he DID wear a hat over there.)

Tuesday - crazy hair day

Wednesday - Cardinals day (he will be at Nana and Papas tomorrow so will miss this one too) 

Thursday - pajama day

Friday - backwards day

28 weeks

Whoops. I forgot to post a 28 week pic on Tuesday. So here's an almost 29 week one instead. Same same.

On a side note, I swear I have the worst pregnancy brain this time around! Way worse than last time.

Vocab explosion!

Up until about a month ago, Alex was only saying like 3 or 4 words. However, since he hit 15 months, his vocab has really taken off and we've heard him saying a ton of new words in the past few weeks! The pediatrician was very impressed with the fact that he has a vocab of about 20 words right now. He said at this age they only expect about 5-6 words. GO ALEX!

15month checkup

Alex and I went to see good ol Dr Agolia yesterday for his 15 mo checkup. Technically he is almost 16 mo, but this was the first available appontment we could get.

The last few times we took him to  the doc he wasn't havin it, but he did really good yesterday.  Whimpered just a tiny bit when the doc was checking his ears and cried for all of 10 seconds when he got his two shots, but other than that he was happy as can be!

His weight was 30lbs, 6oz (100th percentile, duh) and height was 34" (also 100th percentile). Doc said everything is looking good! I always question if we feed him too much, but every single time we are there Agolia reassures me that Alex's height and weight are proportionate and he is not overweight at all, so if he's wanting more food then we should give it to him. Ok doc, If you say so!!! At least big Al eats a variety of foods...not like we feed him junk constantly. He is the least picky eater EVER. We have only found 3 things he doesn't much care for at this point- avacados, watermelon, and cantaloupe. Other than that he will eat anything you put in front of him. He's my lil garbage diaposal! Xoxo
