Heartbreak hotel

Oh my gosh, talk about a heartbreaker! I was rocking Alex before bed tonight, listening to the rythmic squeaking of the rocker and enjoying my quiet snuggle time with him. His eyes were getting heavy and he was playing with his hair like he does when he's tired. All of a sudden he whispers, "I'm growing up Mommy." Seriously??? Don't do this to me, kid. As if that wasn't enough, he says "But you don't want me to grow up. You want me and Nicky to stay little!" By now I'm of course getting a lil teary. I said "Aww, buddy! You're right. I so don't want you to grow up. I love you so very much and love the snuggles I get from my sweet boy, I don't want you to grow up and leave me!" And then without missing a beat he wraps his lil arms around my neck and goes, "But I'll still love you Mommy." Gaaaaah! Cue the waterworks!!! I was literally bawling. That kid! Oh my goodness. Could not possibly love him any more. After a min of smooching his face off, I told him I say that sometimes but I don't really mean it. I told him it's good that he's growing up and it's fun to watch him get bigger ("like Daddy?") and learn new things. Told him how proud I am of him for doing so good with his potty training lately and learning when to stop what he's doing and come in for a potty break. Also told him how I'm so lucky that I am his mama and I can't imagine life without him. Oy vey. I'm done. This whole growing up stuff is for the birds. 

....and now I'm gonna go look at baby pics and bawl my eyes out. Waaaa! 😢

Mother's Day

Had a great Mother's Day weekend. I am so lucky I get to be these 2 boys' mama! Love them more than life itself. Here are a few pics from our weekend.

Weekend fun

I loved everything about this weekend.  Seriously. Spent pretty much every waking moment outside with my sweet little fam and i couldn't have asked for anything more. This is what life's all about, man. Love my peeps. Feeling blessed. :)
