Party at my crib!

Although Nick is still sleeping in the bassinet in our room, he's just about outgrown it. For the most part he's sleeping through the night now, so in all honesty it's probably time to move him to his crib, but I'm not quiiiiite ready for that yet. ;(  I'm gonna miss him when he moves to his room. I like having my baby right there next to me so I can have an instant snuggle fest whenever I want!  

We've been trying to make a conscious effort to let him nap in his crib when we think about it just to get him used to being in there, and so far he seems to like it. And it's obvy from these pics that Alex is digging his new lil roomie too! He can't wait for Nick to move in. <3

Maternity leave recap

Well it's official. My maternity leave has come to an end and I am back at work now. Booooo! 12 weeks is not nearly enough time off when you have a baby. I'm pretty sure it should be required that you take at least a year off to spend with the babe when you go out on leave. Just sayin.

It was definitely an adjustment having two little ones versus one though. Shooty shoo! In order to leave the house with 2 little kids in tow, you basically have to start getting everyone ready like 4 hours ahead of time.You feed one, then feed the other, then change the first one's diap, then go to change the second, then the first one spit up and you have to change his outfit, then the other one had a blowout and needs new clothes too, then the first one is hungry again, etc. It's insane! We were JUST starting to get into the swing of things and figure this all out, and then I had to go back to work. Ugh.

Although it may have been a bit rough at first, I thoroughly enjoyed being home with my kiddos and feel blessed that I got to spend all that time with them. Here are some highlights of things that happened while I was on leave.

 We met our new BFF Austin, who was born just 3 days after Nicholas!

 

Alex won the costume contest at his school on Halloween

 

We checked out traffic on Jungermann Rd with Daddy

 

Alex and I participated in "Mommy and me" swimming lessons at the Renaud Center. So fun! He was awesome.

 

 



Two words: NAKED BABY!!!

 

Checked on the house to see how it was coming along

 

 

Bella had a fashion show in my old dresses with her friend Maggie from down the street 

 

 

There were 3 in the bed and the little one said "Roll over, roll over!"

 

Celebrated Nick's first T-day

 

This was down on Main St in St Charles. Alex wasn't sure what to think of all the different Santas

Chunks McGhee, following in his big bro's footsteps. This was at his 2 month checkup. He weighed in at 14.14lbs (87%) and was 24.75" long (94%)

Flu-2 , Ulanoski fam-0

The flu has hit our house once again. Alex woke up today feeling icky and was clinging to me all morning (which is the only good part about having a sick kiddo- extra luvin and snuggle time!). Then wouldnt ya know it, I felt continually worse as the day went on too. We both threw up once but then seemed to feel better after that. Hopefully it was just the 24 hr thing and Lenny and Nicholas both escape it.

As my mom said, this serves as a good reminder to wash hands frequently! (Esp since alex has his hands in his mouth a lot still at this age)

I'm off to bed now. Nighty night. Nevermind that it's only like 8:00... sickies need their sleep! Akix was out like a light  pretty early too. Tomorrow is a new day.
