It's tiiiiiiime!

So I went in for my 38 week checkup today at 4:30. Dr. C checked my cervix and said I was 1.75cm dilated. Yay for some sign of my body getting ready for labor! FINALLY! However, she was concerned about my bp cuz it was really high, so she said she wanted me to head over to Mercy so they could monitor my bp for a bit and do some lab work. I called Lenny and let him know I was headed over to the hospital but I told him he shouldnt come up yet cuz I figured I would pry just be here for an hour or so and then they'd send me home. Ummmmm, it's now 10 pm and I'm still here. Lol. Luckily he didn't listen to my advice. He got up here about 30 min after I did. Turns out I have Pre-eclampsia so they are going to keep me overnight and then induce me in the morn. Ahhhhhih! So pumped! I was a lil nervous on the drive to the hospital, but now that it's sunk in I am so ready to get this show on the road!

They have me on magnesium sulfate via iv for the high bp, and they also gave me some oral med for the bp as well. I forgot what that one was called. Additionally, they have me on cervadil for the next 12 hours which will thin and ripen my cervix, and then they will start me on pitocin around 730 or 8am, and that should trigger contractions.

So far I'm feeling good, just a lil warm from the magnesium. It felt like boiling water going thru my veins when they first put it in the iv! Crazy. Getting ready to enjoy my last meal here for a while, then I'm going to try to rest up for the big day tomorrow. Dunno if I will be able to sleep at all tho.. I'm too excited! Almost time to meet our lil baby boy! Yaaaay! Will post again when I can. Xoxo
