Bootcamp update

Ok I usually don't do this, but I just have to brag for a second, cuz I am sooooo proud of myself! As you know, I started a 6-week boot camp challenge last month. It was incredibly hard at first, but I stuck with it and now here we are in the last week of the camp and I don't want it to be over! It's been an awesome 6 weeks, and I am juuuuust now starting to see results, which is one of the main reasons I am not looking forward to the end of it. I plan to keep working out 3x/week with Valerie and Cheri, the two girls I did the boot camp with, and then we are going to do another boot camp in June hopefully. Onto the bragging... check out how much I improved on our assessments:

Beggining of boot camp:
Sit Ups (full sit ups, not crunches - as many as you could do in 2 min) - 36
Push Ups (the boy kind - as many as you could in 2 min) -21
1-mile run - 10:10

Today:
Sit Ups - 61
Push Ups - 40
1-mile run - ....are you ready for this??? 7:11! Woot woot!!

I am most proud of the time I got on the mile run today. That felt awesome! :) I have to give Susan (one of the other campers) some credit for that though, because she is an amazing runner, and I forced myself to run behind her so I would keep a good pace. If I would have done it on my own, I know I would have been going slower. But STILL! That's like a 3 minute improvement! I still can't get over it. I feel great.

If anybody is interested in doing the boot camp challenge with us in June or July, I highly recommend it. It was a great group of people and I really liked both of our instructors (Lori Patterson and Sammie Bezzole)a lot. I have posted the link below if you want to check it out. Looking forward to the next one. Hoo-aah!
