Father's Day

Happy Father's Day to my baby daddy! You are not only a wonderful husband, but an awesome father as well. There's nobody else I'd rather do this with than you Lenny. I love you and hope you enjoyed your day, even if you didn't get to sleep in. :)

Swimmin like a fish

.......well, not quite. But we're working on it! Bella has been taking swimming lessons for the past two weeks and really enjoys it. She's gained a lot of confidence in the water, and although is not jumping in/dunking her head under just yet, she is at least putting her face in the water now and that's a huge improvement from last year. Baby steps!

At the beginning of each class, all the kids sit on the wall and the teachers sing some cute song about alligators snatching all the monkies out of the tree. They pretend like they are the alligators and they grab each kid off the wall one by one and take them out into the water to get wet and get used to it. The kids all love it! And yes, I've been singing the dumb alligator song all week long.

 Starting to enjoy this!

Miss Emily, Bella's favorite of the 3 teachers. She gives Miss Emily a hug at the end of every class. lol

2 month checkup

Mr. Alex went in to see Dr. Agolia this morning for his 2 month checkup. He now weighs 15lbs, 8.5oz (!!!) and he's 24.75" tall. He's in the 99th percentile for weight and the 96th percentile for height. Looks like we have a linebacker on our hands here, folks!

He did great, considering he had to have an oral vaccination and then 3 shots on top of it. The first shot just kind of startled him, but by the time she did the 2nd and 3rd, he was mad. His face turned really red and he screamed for a minute, but as soon as I was able to pick him up and comfort him, he was fine. We did end up giving him some Tylenol later in the afternoon because he was pretty cranky and his leg was red where he got the DTAP shot (which they said would probably happen). He's doing good now though - he's snoozing peacefully up in our bed and I even got a couple of really good smiles from him before he fell asleep. :)

Think I'm gonna go up and snuggle with him for a bit. I seriously could lay there all day talking to him, playing with him, and smooching on him. I'm really trying to soak up these last couple of weeks of maternity leave with my baby. July 5th (my return to work date) is quickly approaching. Don't even want to think about it. *sigh*

What a fun night...NOT

Q - Which of the following happened in the Ulanoski household last night?

1) Bella wanted to snuggle Alex before bed, so we let them lay in our bed. Bellz passed out and then when we went to move her to her room, we saw she had wet the bed. Huge puddle that soaked thru the mattress pad and into the mattress. Just so happened that it was on my side of the bed.

2) Alex had a blowout at 3:30 in the morning. I was feeding him and felt something wet on my arm. Looked down and saw poo soaking thru his jammies. I grabbed a nearby burb cloth and put that under his bottom until he was done eating. Poo on Alex, Poo on the burpcloth, Poo on the sheets, Poo on me. Had to wake Lenny up to help me clean it all up.

3) As I was cleaning Alex up from the blowout, he spit up all over my leg and the rug in the bathroom.

4) All of the above.

A - If you guessed all of the above, you are right. I don't think anything else could have gone wrong last night. Oh, and did I mention that the sunroof on the edge was stuck in the open position, it poured down rain in the afternooion, the car got soaked, and then one of us left the ignition in the accessory position, thereby draining the battery? Had to borrow jumper cables from the neighbors to get it started again. Like I said, fun night.
