Christmas cookies galore

I'm not sure what we had going on but for some reason we never did Christmas cookies out at Dean and Staceys last year. That's one of my fave traditions and I'm happy to report we were back at it again this year. The boys seemed to love it! (Especially  alex). This is SUCH a great age for all things Christmas! the excitement is contagious!!! This was one of my fave Christmases yet. :)

Buddies

That silly old elf

Nell is up to his old antics again...he TP'd the hallway, stairs, and LR a couple weeks ago, pooped choc chips in a glass last week, and now look at the message he left for the boys on their easel today. Ha!

Him and Shell made some pretty cute snowman donuts for the kids (including Austin who spent the night) this past weekend though, so I guess he does have his sweet moments too. ;)

Ya better watch out

Forgot to post these last weekend!

Santa came to the neighborhood (via firetruck) Friday and we went up to the pool to see him. Nick smiled n waved but had no desire to sit on his lap. ;) Alex did great though and told Santa exactly what he wanted for Christmas. Stay tuned to see if he makes the nice list!

Last night we had to take a quick walk up the street cuz the boys were soooo excited to show me all the neighbors' xmas lights. I love experiencing the joy of the season through the boys' eyes. So fun!

You're a popsicle!

So I was rocking Nick the other night and trying to get him to go to sleep and he was chatting up a storm - he was wound up and did NOT want to settle down that night for whatever reason. I started humming a lullaby and he said "no! Stop it mommy!" Lol. So of course being the tease I am, I kept doing it for a couple minutes. ;) Every time I would start humming again, he would holler at me. Finally I told him "You are IMPOSSIBLE!" And he goes, "I want a popsicle!" Bahahaha! Mind you it was nearly 10pm by this time. I could NOT stop laughing. Clearly he thought I was calling him a popsicle. He kept looking at me with his little smirk saying "I want a popsicle" over and over again so he could see my reaction. Hilarious. I was laughing so hard I was crying! That kid is something else.

Sweetness x2

So lucky to have this man in my life. Not only is he an amazing husband, but he turned out to SUCH a good daddy as well. I hit the jackpot as far as families go, there's no doubt about that! *sigh* God sure knew what he was doing when he had me go through that rough patch with the practice husband...it makes me appreciate Lenny all that much more!

Love you more than you will ever know, Leonard John Ulanoski the 3rd! You are my everything!  Xoxox

Turkey Tom? Nope, not up in here!

Alex n nick had to disguise these turkeys for the Turkey Tom project at school so that they wouldn't get eaten for Thanksgiving. :)

They picked the disguises themselves, but of course had a little help executing. Turned out cute I think. Next year I vow to let them do a lil more of the actual work. Lol

Awwwww, they sure do love each other (sometimes)

Alex was snuggling in our bed this morning when we heard Nick wake up and start talking in his crib. Alex's ears perked up and he said, "Nicky's awake! Let's both go get him!" Before I was even out of bed, he had run at a full sprint across our room, thru the hall, and into their room. This is how I found them when I got in there. 😍

Nick's 2yr checkup

We went to the doc this morn for Nicks 2y checkup. He was 38 in tall (99% percentile ) and weighed in at 34.3 lbs (98% percentile). Doc said right now he's tracking to be 6'4 or 6'5 as an adult! Jeezo. Those things aren't always accurate  though, so I guess only time will tell!

Anyway, he is doing everything he's supposed to be doing at this age (climbing, kicking, jumping w both feet off ground, stairs w no assistance, using utensils, drinking from big boy cup, etc) and his vocabulary is excellent. He's starting to group words together now and say actual sentences. ("I want ipad. Charge it up, mommy!") It's so neat to watch them grow and figure things out!

Dr Agolia said he's a perfectly healthy lil boy and he looked great. I was so excited to hear that he had no ear infections! We have quite literally NEVER seen Agolia without Nick's ears bring infected. Can you believe that? Thank God for essential oils! Clearly they are working, so we'll  just keep using the otic roller I made a couple times/week as a preventive and then add straight basil if he DOES get an infection. Basil is the only thing we've found to be effective on that dude's ears and I'm soooo happy we started using it. Yay for a more natural treatment without the side effects of antibiotics!

PAT visit

Nick had a PAT visit with Ms Emily yesterday. She gave us some suggestions of things we can work on with him (puzzles, stringing beads), but overall he did great! She seemed pretty impressed with his vocabulary so that made me proud. :)
