Granny's little snuggle bug

Nick sure can be a sweet little lover sometimes! That is, when he's not hitting, slapping, pushing, swatting, stealing toys from Alex, screeching, or crying. Caught one of those rare sweet moments tonight with Granny. (Helped that Alex was outside at the time) So cute.

PSA- Running is bad for your health

This is what I get for attempting to be healthy....

I went for a run a couple weeks ago and me being the graceful person that I am, tripped over my own feet and bit it on the sidewalk. I got up and immediately noticed my left pinkie felt kinda weird. Looked down and saw it was kinda crooked so I walked right on back home.

Turns out I fractured it and if that isn't bad enough, I ended up having surgery yesterday, pins and all, because I really messed up the ligaments and wasn't able to bend or straighten the finger at all even after nearly 2 weeks of having it in a splint.

Surgery went well and hopefully I'll be as good as new in a few months. Think I'm done running for a bit though. Exercise is bad for your health. From now on I'm just gonna stick with eating junk food and being fat. Thank you, and please pull forward.

Practicing with scissors

When we did a preschool screening with PAT a few months ago, the lady said Alex could use some practice with scissors. In other words, the dude had no clue how to cut! In fact, he didn't even know how to hold the scissors, let alone be able to manipulate his hands to make them open and close. However,  last week when I picked him up from daycare, his teacher said he was doing great and she was very impressed with his scissor skills. What a difference a few months makes!

Here he is hard at work practicing his cutting tonight. Notice how the tongue is out....that's some major concentration there. ;)

Sunday fun day at the Cards game

Here you go uncle keithy,  we finally took a few pix for ya!

Had a fun time at the game today, though it was SUPER hot. Boys did pretty good considering the heat. We were there for 5 innings and got to see 2 home runs! Think they liked the fireworks after the home runs and of course liked watching Fredbird, too. They each got a souvenir mini bat and we're happy campers. :)
